According to Cadillac VP of Marketing Don Butler, the Escalade will back and make its official debut this fall at 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. This large SUV will get new luxury treatment inside and out.
2014 Cadillac Escalade Exterior interior design
It is expected that the 2014 Cadillac Escalade will feature LED accent lighting on grille, full LED headlights with softer sheet metal body styling. The front show strong visual statement that dominated by the bold signature of Cadillac. It will get a similar form A-pillars like Silverado/Sierra. The C-pillar appears blacked out with the Cadillac emblem positioned near its base. It also sport new chrome framing on the upper part of the door frame.
About the cabin, GM`s North America president Mark Reuss said that the 2014 Cadillac Escalade would mark a significant improvement over the current model`s interior. The 2014 Cadillac Escalade will get unique interior color combinations along with new steering wheel and shift knob design.
The 2014 Cadillac Escalade will feature the latest infotainment system from Cadillac like the CUE system with an integrated touchscreen, lane departure warning, radar based cruise control and potentially and HUD (Heads up Display).
Under the hood, the 2014 Cadillac Escalade is powered by a V-8 engine featuring direct injection and a cylinder deactivation system or 3.6 liter twin-turbo V-6 that roughly can generate 400 horsepower with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Cadillac Escalade will be offered with option of rear or all-wheel drive. The non-hybrid Escalade is EPA-rated at 13-14/18 mpg city/highway, the 2014 Escalade should be more efficient as well.
The 2014 Cadillac Escalade will compete with Audi Q7, Infiniti QX56, Land Rover Range Rover, Lexus LX570 and Mercedes-Benz GL-class. The 2014 Cadillac Escalade is expected to start at $64,165.
